Eat and Drink
There are lots of restaurants and bars. Here are a few:
El Punto Encentro - One of our nearby locals, a great place to eat, drink, and people watch in the old town. Food and wine are excellent with a chilled atmosphere.
The Garden - El Jardin - At the top of the village. Wonderful views, romantic, great food and wine. Views of the old town across the mountains.
El Mirador - Not far from the Garden above, also beautiful views.
La Taperia - We love this place. More Moroccan-based food. Friendly and warm. Opposite the Three Cultures Square.
Rumba and Candela - If you want an excellent steak, this place will not disappoint. Ran by the Salsa couple of Frigiliana.
Tres Culturas - A great place for a beer and tapas.
El Lagar - A meeting place. Great views, and don’t forget to ask for some local Frigiliana wine.
Bar Pizzeria Da Giuseppe - Excellent value for money, authentic and lively. Three Cultures Square.
La Nueva Tahona - Love the pizza here. Also excellent value.
Tres Culturas - A real Spanish tapas bar. Many locals love this place. Enjoy!
El Boquetillo - Street food, music, often live, and great value, and the menu changes regularly. Good choice for Vegetarians.
Virtudes - A popular local haunt. Great Andalucian food. And a lovely ice cream shop next to it.
Mesón El Granaino - A small place in the heart of the old town. Try their speciality “Carne de la abuela”
La Domadora y el León - Microbrewery and a wide selection of craft beer.
There are a few places that we just want to keep a secret. Don’t tell anyone, but if you want a consistently good filling meal with delightful hosts all at a great price, Bar La Alegria del Barrio. It’s been going for 50-odd years, and there's a reason why. No frills. Local, authentic, a proper bar…. Shush, don’t tell anyone else…..
The Pensionistas Bar - A few feet away. A local bar, great value and sometimes you might catch the elders of the village passing a guitar around the table, taking turns in singing, now that's a treat to behold…
There are lots that I haven’t mentioned, and to be honest, you don’t get a bad meal in Frigiliana in our experience, so just wander and enjoy…….
