The House

What makes Número 71 special? Within these centuries-old Moorish walls, we have modernised whilst still retaining the character of a home which was famously used to press the local wine; we still have the old wine press, albeit in a fully equipped kitchenette. From the moment you walk through the doors, art and decoration have been carefully handpicked during travels and encounters with artisans. We would love to welcome you to a home of colour and uniqueness. To cut it down to a couple of words? It’s quirky! A home away from home, a sanctuary where beauty treatments and massages can be pre-booked to make your stay even more relaxing. Please note that Número 71 is a typical Moorish house, so there are low ceilings in parts and steps, which all add to its quirkiness and charm, but not ideal for small children.


Our living area is a place to connect with our guests, and we provide regular classes from creative writing to Andalucian and Moroccan cookery classes. Tapas evenings on the main terrace, which has stunning views of the sea, mountains and botanical gardens, is a time to connect, share time, food and wine, a place where friends and memories are made. You are most welcome to share the terrace with us on the ground floor.

Chill area/closed terrace

This is an area to chill, maybe a spot of yoga or meditation? It is also where, upon request, our local beauticians can provide a relaxing massage or beauty treatment. Or maybe just sit, chill with a cold glass of wine or beer and look out to the mountains. As one of our guests said, ‘The most picture perfect place to sit and forget about the World.’

Kitchenette area

Tea and coffee (complimentary) making facilities, along with a fridge and microwave. A seating area for up to four people. 

Breakfast

Continental breakfast can be made for our guests between the hours of 8 am and 10 am. We would be happy to provide in-season fruit salad, fresh croissants, fresh bread with locally sourced jams, jamon, cheese and freshly squeezed orange juice. You can choose to have this delivered outside your room or join us on the terrace on the ground floor. You are also most welcome to buy your own and prepare.
