Our Story
My name is Siobhán, and my husband Matt and I would love to welcome you to a special place in our hearts…. Frigiliana. We fell in love with Frigiliana, Spain and Andalucia many years ago when we visited nearby cities and towns in the area, but we were always drawn back to Frigiliana. We’d walk around the magical old town and peek through the open windows, dreaming that one day we would own a place that looked out to the sea and the mountains covered in olive groves. Fast forward decades later, and here we are, and we would love to share that experience and feeling with you.
Frigiliana is a place where traditions, culture, friends and family are everything. It has been voted as Spain’s most beautiful and best preserved village, and Número 71 is right bang in the centre of the old town. There are over 30 whitewashed villages in Andalucia; we have visited most, and we may be biased, but Frigiliana is the best. Our house is the perfect location to discover the richness and culture. The cobbled streets full of ceramics and with views 320 metres above sea level provide magnificent views all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. The locals are proud of their past, their humour and friendliness shine through, enjoying life and many festivals, all with meaning and richness of spirit and an acceptance of all.
